Lifework International Foundation (LIF)
is a 501(c)(3) organization for public benefit. LIF is
aimed precisely at that—life work. LIF’s mission is to
enable families in the developing world to become more
self-reliant by building character, capacity, and
community.
According to the World Bank, poverty is measured as
living on less than $2 per day. LIF exists because 3
billion people, 50% of the world’s population, live in
poverty—and the majority of this population is women and
children. Poverty affects every aspect of life,
resulting in terrible human suffering.
To more effectively help people in impoverished
countries, LIF focuses on development—a vital process
that improves quality of life and promotes long-lasting
change.
LIF’s role is illustrated in the following points:
- LIF facilitates locally identified development projects
that address real needs and strengthen individual,
family, and community capacities.
-
LIF focuses on the critical areas of education, health,
and economic development.
- LIF collaborates with in-country entities that help
support development efforts.
